Step 01: Open Photoshop CS6
On the top main menu you'll find the edit option, click on the edit option. See the above picture.
Step 02: Click Preferences
Once click on the edit menu you will find the Preferences. go to Preferences. See the above picture.
Step 03: Click Interface
On Preferences Click Interface. when you click on the Interface the Preferences dialogue box appears. See the above pictures.
Step 04: Drag The Preferences Dialogue Box
Better to drag the Preferences Dialogue Box slightly to the side or down to see the tools and panels. See the above picture.
Step 05: Colour Theme
On the Preferences Dialogue Box you will find the colour theme in that Colour Theme boxes locate, Click each of the four Colour Theme boxes to see the changes. See the above pictures.
Step 06: Standard Screen Mode
Click the Standard Screen Mode dropdown menu and select Dark Gray or a different colour. See the above picture.
Step 07: Select dark Gray
Click the darkest Colour Theme for the tools and panels.The tools and panels almost match the background colour scheme for uniform viewing. See the above picture.
Finally Click OK to save your preferred colour scheme.
Change the Workspace Colour Theme
Step 01:
simply right click on your space (the space surrounding your image) and choose from Default (which may be a bit darker than the Dark grey option), Black, Dark Gray, Medium grey, Light Gray, and or maybe Custom Colour. See the above picture.
Step 02:
If you wish to set the background colour to a different background colour the custom colour option once you right click the background. The select custom colour find. once you click on the select the custom colour option the colour Picker window can seem. choose your colour and click on OK.
