AutoFit Behavior:
AutoFit to Contents option: To set the table so that it automatically adjusts the column widths to accommodate the text that you type in the column, select the AutoFit to Contents option button.

AutoFit to Window option: If you are going to save the Word document containing the table as a Web document (and use it on a Web site), select the AutoFit to Window option button.

This allows the table to automatically adjust within a Web browser window so that it can be viewed when the browser window is sized.

When you have completed all your settings for the table, and then click OK.
